APRIL 2026 WRITING AND WANDERING NEWSLETTER

Image
The first day of spring fell on March 20, and it sure feels like it in Wyoming. Trees are budding out, birds are singing, and the temperatures have been beautiful. As much as I’ve enjoyed it, I fear we may be being lulled into a false sense of the season. Generally, snow and freezing temperatures are common through April. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is the real deal.    WRITING There isn’t a lot of new news on the writing front. I still continue to search for ways to get the word out on The Beartooth Chronicles . The series is complete. I’m looking for new readers and constructive reviews, which are crucial to a novel’s success. The entire series is available from your favorite online bookseller or just click here for Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CW1HL6RK/ WANDERINGS We managed a major road trip in March. The main goal was a few days of tennis at the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament in California. We made it there, enjoyed the tennis, and made a large ...

April 2025 WRITING AND WANDERING #Newsletter

During April in Wyoming, we generally get showers that bring May flowers, but whether it comes in the form or rain or snow is anyone’s guess. April can be beautiful or brutal. I’m hoping for signs of spring, but we’ll just have to wait and see. WRITING The fourth novel in The Beartooth Chronicles, Evil Under the Mountain, is still on tap for an April release. I don’t have the exact date yet, so hopefully you’re following me on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/KimMcMahillAuthor/ . In the meantime, if you aren’t caught up on the series, now is the perfect time . Refuge from the World (book 1) is only $0.99 and Above the Abyss (book 2) is still $2.99 to download. If you are caught up, I have a couple of free Risky Research prequel micro-reads for download, Midnight in Montana and A Formidable Foe . WANDERINGS Wandering was kept in-state in March. Mostly going to high school basketball tournaments and using those opportunities to check out things I may have missed ove...

#APRIL 2024 #Newsletter – Showers and Flowers!

Image
I’m hoping the old saying, April showers bring May flowers, holds true this year. So far this winter, we’ve gotten modest amounts of snow here and there, but the snowpack in the high country is down, which is never a good thing. Much of the water available for human and agriculture uses throughout the western U.S. comes from snowmelt high in the mountains, and if the forests are dry, we could be looking at a bad fire season. But, there’s still time. Often the mountains get the heaviest and wettest snows in March and April. So, here’s hoping we get enough showers to give us flowers so we can enjoy colorful mountain meadows filled with fragrant spring blossoms and avoid the often-devastating effects of drought. Along with flower growth, I would love to grow my connections. If you aren’t following me already, I would greatly appreciate new followers to any of my social media platforms listed at the end of this post. Thanks in advance and have a happy Easter.    WRITING N...
