A Foundation of Fear – Teaser Two of Ten

Image
How far will a deadly group go to control the diet product industry worth billions and can anyone stop them? I hope you enjoyed the initial excerpt of the ten tidbits I plan to post in anticipation of the Release of, A Foundation of Fear . Here’s the second. Please keep stopping by. I countdown is just lame if I’m the only one participating. The last time they talked she detected his confidence growing as though he believed the balance of power was shifting. It was a false sense of security he was developing since the secrets went far deeper than he could imagine. She hoped to never relive the ugliness from her childhood, but she feared he was about to force her hand. Available now for Kindle pre-order on Amazon. Click here .

Ten Teasers In Twenty Days for A Foundation of Fear

Image
How far will a deadly group go to control the diet product industry worth billions and can anyone stop them? The countdown begins. AFoundation of Fear releases in just over twenty days, so between now until then I’ll post ten tidbits, one every other day until release day. A Foundation of Fear is the third romantic suspense novel in the Risky Research Series (A Dose of Danger #1 and A Taste of Tragedy #2).  Here’s the first one. I hope you’ll keep checking back for more. Devyn Nash’s ribs still ached and pain shot up from the soles of her feet with every step she took. Only a little over a week had passed since she had chased a killer through cactus-covered desert at night in her bare feet. If that wasn’t enough, she had leapt off a rock ledge and tackled the fugitive, which in hindsight probably wasn’t a smart move. She had desperately wanted answers, not another corpse. Available now for Kindle pre-order on Amazon. Click here .

#Free Download Ahead of Risky Research Novel Release

Image
I love it when I have exciting writing news to share. A Formidable Foe , a short story prequel to the Risky Research Series will be available for free download on May 3, 2019.The novelette is set during FBI Agent, Devyn Nash’s college years. Readers will learn what makes Devyn tick and the circumstances which have contributed to her tough-as-nails, socially challenged, never give up, champion of justice character, in a suspenseful and entertaining read. This is probably my darkest work, but since it’s short, it shouldn’t keep you up at night. The third novel in the Risky Research Series, A Foundation of Fear , is scheduled for release on May 17, 2019, but is available for Kindle pre-order on Amazon now ( click here ). Starting April 27, I’m going to start a ten tidbits countdown in which I post a short teaser from my new novel every other day until release. I hope you will join me for the fun event. Adventure Inspirations – A Profound Humility

“Without the gadgets, the inventions, the contrivances whereby men have seemed to establish among themselves an independence of nature, without these distractions, to know wilderness is to know a profound humility, to recognize one’s littleness, to sense dependence and interdependence, indebtedness, and responsibility.” -Howard Zahniser-

Denver March #Powwow

Image
This weekend marked the 45 th annual Denver March Powwow. The sheer scope of the event amazed me. There were reportedly over 1,500 dancers accompanied by over 35 drum groups, which resulted in a dazzling display of color, motion, and music. A stunning assortment of traditional arts and crafts on display rounded out the event for a wonderful day.

Adventure Inspirations – The Noise of Wilderness

“Wilderness has noise as when great winds make treetops roar, setting up the cadence of a pounding surf. Wilderness noise is also the murmur of brooks, the chatter of squirrels, the scolding of camp robbers. Wilderness noise is the sequence of birdcalls just before dawn, the ecstatic music of the whippoorwill at dusk, and the deep quiet of a darkened forest. The noise of wilderness is varied; it has no monotony; it is the music of the earth of which man is an integral part whether he knows it or not. The healing effects of wilderness are well known. Cares slough off; the conscious springs that create tension are relaxed; man comes to an understanding of his relation to the earth from which he came and to which he returns. William O. Douglas
