Autumnal #Equinox

Image
The fall or autumnal equinox occurs on September 22 this year. The fall equinox is the astronomical start of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere. It is the day when the Earth’s two hemispheres receive nearly equal amounts of sun. Daylight and darkness won’t be exactly equal on this day, but close, so enjoy the sun and the colors while you can.

Equinox, Extraterrestrials, Etc.

March 20 has several designations worth more than just a mention in my March 1 blog post. I think we owe it to the next generation to hand down a planet worth inhabiting, so take a moment on International Earth Day to consider what we can do to sustain a healthy planet that continues to support productive Agriculture (National Agriculture Day). Vital to plant growth is sunshine, and with the arrival of the Spring Equinox, we now have as much light as darkness and the days will only get longer from here. As for Plan B, I guess we can always hope for an Extraterrestrial Abduction or at least a Proposal from that special someone. Please share if you’ve received a proposal on March 20, or if you’ve been abducted by Extraterrestrials on this designated day (or any day).
