As a prelude to the release of the fourth installment in the Risky Research Series on April 9, 2021, and as a gift to friends and followers, I have released another free prequel micro-read, Midnight in Montana . In this short story, FBI agent Devyn Nash is committed to tracking down those who are producing counterfeit currency and distributing it across western states. With help from her partner, colleagues, and a handsome Wyoming sheriff she identifies suspects and a source of distribution. When she tries to execute the warrant a real western shoot out erupts, and she must resort to drastic measures to bring them to justices. This is the second free short story I’ve released to compliment the series. The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever. Jacques Yves Cousteau, Oceanographer The Dolphin and Me by Gail Pallotta I stood beside the pool in Sea World in Orlando, Florida, and yearned for a picture of a dolphin. Bystanders swished bottles in the water trying to get the attention of the graceful mammals. I didn’t, because I feared a container might hurt one of them. Hoping one would rise up, I focused my camera. The man beside me, who wiggled a bottle in the water, left. Lo and behold, a dolphin raised its head right in front of me. Surprised, I fumbled with the camera. The huge creature posed with the big smile typical of dolphins and didn’t budge until I snapped its picture. Then it joined the other porpoises. Once released the price will be raised to their regular retail price. Pelican Book Group publishes only Christian fiction and Clean and Wholesome fiction (under the Prism Book Group imprint), which is where mine fall.
