Important Dates in April 2022

April is a very important month for Christians. Palm Sunday begins Holy week leading up to Easter. On Good Friday, Jesus Christ died on the cross. He then arose from the dead on Easter Sunday morning. There are also a few other dates of note in April. Here’s what’s coming up.   April 1 - April Fool's Day and National Walk to Work Day  April 10 - Palm Sunday April 15 - Good Friday and Passover begins at sundown April 17 - Easter Sunday April 18 - Patriot's Day  April 22 - Earth Day (U.S.) April 28 - Take Your Daughter to Work Day  April 29 - Arbor Day

Meet Author Kris Bock I’m pleased to welcome Kris Bock to my blog. I’ve read some of her work and I feel a kindred spirit in the fact that she lives in New Mexico, a place I also lived for a short time and loved, and her outdoor adventure premise in many of her novels. Tell us about yourself I started my writing career with children’s literature, writing for kids as Chris Eboch and MM Eboch. My first published book is The Well of Sacrifice – historical drama set in ninth-century Mayan Guatemala. It’s been in print for over twenty years and is used in schools when they teach the Maya. I’ve written over 100 educational work-for-hire books, and I’ve been a ghostwriter for some popular children’s mystery series starring your favorite young detectives. MARCH 2022 NEWSLETTER – MARCH MADNESS March Madness means different things to different people. To many, March Madness is the annual college basketball tournament. Although I occasionally get a mild case of basketball fever, usually March signifies the point when I’ve had about enough of winter. Even if I enjoyed winter sports, most are wrapping up for the season and we enter that no-man’s land known in tourist communities as the shoulder season. Coming up in March: Daylight Savings Time begins on March 13 and St. Patrick's Day is coming up on March 17. I hope everyone has a fun and safe St. Patrick's Day.         WRITING NOTES AND NEWS I’ve finished the first draft of my dystopian adventure novel. It will probably go through a couple more iterations before I submit it to a publisher. Currently, the manuscript is being read by my favorite proofreader and, in this case, subject matter expert.
