#MARCH 2024 #Newsletter – Welcome Spring!

Image
Even though Wyoming and Montana often get a lot of snow in March, I’m still excited when this month arrives. Daylight savings time begins on March 10, 2024, giving us instantly another hour of daylight in the evening. Spring kicks off on March 19, 2024 with the Spring Equinox. On this day, the sun’s rays shine on the equator, giving us twelve hours of sunlight. I love the light, and even if it snows in March, I know warmer temperatures are just around the corner. WRITING NOTES AND NEWS Refuge from the World (The Beartooth Chronicles, book 1) is scheduled to be released later this month, hopefully by March 19, 2024. See the publishers “coming soon” page for more on this book and updates on its release at  https://www.fireandiceya.com/authors/kimmcmahill/bear1.html The next novel in the series, Above the Abyss (The Beartooth Chronicles, book 2) will be released in June or July, with the next two novels in the series to be released every four to five months thereafter. Daylight Savings Time 2021

Image
On Sunday, March 14, 2021, at  2:00 am  clocks are turned  forward  1 hour. Since few are up at that ungodly hour, be sure to turn your clocks forward an hour on Saturday night before you go to bed or first thing when you get up Sunday morning. For more information on Daylight Savings Time check out the Old Farmers Almanac at https://www.almanac.com/content/when-daylight-saving-time .

Daylight Saving Time

Daylight saving time  is the practice of advancing our clocks during summer months so that evening daylight lasts longer. Regions that use daylight saving time typically adjust clocks forward one hour close to the start of spring and adjust them backward in the autumn to standard time. Only a minority of the world's population uses Daylight Saving Time, Asia and Africa generally do not observe it. In the United States, Arizona (except for the  Navajo , who do observe daylight saving time on tribal lands) and Hawaii do not observe Daylight Saving Time, so unless you live in these two states, don’t forget to spring ahead an hour at 2:00 a.m. on March 10.

Tool Worship

I’ll leave the worshiping of tools up to your discretion during the March 11 Worshiping of Tools Day, but don’t gloss over Daylight Savings time. At 2:00 a.m. on March 11 be sure to set your clocks ahead an hour or just to be on the safe side, change the time before going to bed Saturday night.
