Across the Miles: Poems of Fantasy, Faith, and Fun by Annie Douglass Lima Watch a violinist spin stars and snowflakes into existence and wake dragons. Step into a bookstore full of dusty treasures, and wander through a graveyard for poems that died before their birth. Join a solitary star treading the measures of its stately dance above a rainbow like a stream of dripping jewels. Then mourn with the alien who crash-landed on Earth and can’t get home - but be careful to avoid the deadly shadow creatures slinking through the darkness. World #Poetry Day

March 21, 2020 is recognized as World Poetry Day. UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) founded World Poetry day in 1999 to recognize national, regional and international poetry movements The goal was to inspire the celebration of poetry all over the world, and to encourage reading, writing, and teaching of poetry. It is believed that the first known poem appeared 4,000 years ago in Babylon. Poetry uses rhythms and imagery to elicit emotion and the imagination of the reader. Types of poems to enjoy include limericks, sonnets, ballads, and haikus, so there is something for everyone. One of my favorite poets has always been Robert Frost. Please feel free to share your favorite in the comments and have an enjoyable World Poetry Day.

May this book give someone the courage to let their special someone know how much they care for them and how much they mean to them. Saying I love you is a gift you can give many ti...
