Memorial Day in the United States honors all of the men and women who gave their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is formally known as Decoration Day, the day that commemorated the Union and Confederate soldiers who died during the American Civil War, and was later extended to honor all American soldiers who died while in military service.  On the last Monday in May every year, please take a moment to remember and honor all those who died in service to their country.  

Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday in May each year. Memorial Day is dedicated to the service men and women who gave their lives for freedom and country. It is also a time to honor those currently serving and their families, and to remember loved ones who have passed away. This year, I think it is appropriate to also honor those who have been on the frontlines of the pandemic, risking their lives for all of us. THANK YOU!
