DECEMBER 2025 WRITING AND WANDERING #Newsletter

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. With that holiday in the rearview mirror, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas. I haven’t decided how much decorating I’ll do this year, but I better decide soon.   

WRITING

The fifth and final novel in The Beartooth Chronicles, Winter Resurgence, was released on November 24, 2025. I am so excited about this novel, but sad the series is ending (unless Hollywood comes calling-ha, ha). It can be read as a stand-alone action-adventure dystopian thriller, but you’ll miss watching Ashley and Caleb’s love story unfold. Here’s a bit about this newest installment:

WANDERINGS

In November we headed south to get warm, way south, as in Central America and Mexico. It was a wonderful trip and helped me to delay the onset of another Wyoming winter. It’s not likely we’ll get far from home in December or January, but you never know when an opportunity to snowbird will present itself, and if it does, I’ll be ready.

WHAT I’M READING AND NOTABLE NOVELS

I finished, Rising: After the Thaw (The Thaw Chronicles Book 1) by Heidi Catherine and Tamar Sloan. It’s a dystopian novel along the lines of Hunger Games and Divergent. It was a good story, but there are quite a few novels in the series so I may postpone jumping in until I’ve made progress on my TBR list.

I’m now reading The Holiday Cooking Club (part of the Wintergreen Village series) by Mary Martinez.
