JULY 2024 WRITING AND WANDERING #Newsletter

WRITING

Above the Abyss (The Beartooth Chronicles, Book 2), was released on June 18. If you haven’t read the first novel in the series, Refuge from the World, the ebook is currently on sale for just $2.99 from all of the usual online book sellers. Book three is currently going through its first round of edits and is on track for a fall 2024 release. Check The Beartooth Chronicles page on my blog for updated information on the series.

WANDERINGS

I finally got the opportunity to get out of town and do some exploring. My husband and I took a road trip to the west coast. We started out by driving over Beartooth Pass from Wyoming to Montana, the inspiration of The Beartooth Chronicles. The snow this year has been deep and it kept coming well into June. At this rate, my series may actually unfold even further in the future than I originally estimated. The highlights of the trip were Mt. Rainier and Olympic national parks, but we also enjoyed a number of smaller national park sites and other attractions along the route. It was wonderful to get away, and we saw some truly spectacular scenery. I’m looking forward to our next road trip or adventure abroad. (View from Beartooth Pass, Wyoming)

WHAT I’M READING

I’m still reading Pandora’s Temple by Jon Lund. I’m really enjoying it so far, but I’ve had a hard time carving out reading time with my new book release, garden, travel, and family obligations. Stay tuned.
