January 2023 Newsletter – HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome to 2023! I’m not sorry to see 2022 in the review mirror. It was not a great year for me, to say the least, but I won’t go into detail because I’m determined to spend my energy looking forward. This year I plan to refocus on my neglected writing projects (more below), get out of town and explore the country and the open road, and reconnect with friends and family. I hope you have something to look forward to in the New Year and are able to achieve your goals. Happy New Year!

WRITING NOTES AND NEWS

I’m always on the lookout for new ways to connect with readers. I recently discovered Kindle Vella which is a way to share serialized stories with readers over an extended period, one episode at a time. Anyway, it sounded like fun, so I’ve serialized my story, Professor of Lies (Renegades’ Redemption Book 1). Currently, new episodes are published twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays, but I may publish new episodes more frequently if it looks like this will take too long to finish the story.

Kindle Vella is fairly new and is intended to be a way to read short episodes on your cell phone. If you have a kindle app on your cell phone, you can read the first three episodes of any Kindle Vella story for free. After that, you have to pay to unlock subsequent episodes, but this gives you the opportunity to check out an author’s writing style before committing.
