Happy Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice marks the beginning of astronomical winter. In 2022, this occurs on December 21, which will be the shortest day of the year as the sun is at its southernmost point, and will now begin its long, six-month journey north.  On the Winter Solstice, the sun never rises at the North Pole. While the northern hemisphere is experiencing its shortest day, the southern hemisphere is enjoying the first day of summer.
