Adventure Scrapbook – Rays of Gibbs Cay
Turks and Caicos are a British Overseas Territory
consisting of the larger Caicos Islands
and the smaller Turks Islands. While visiting
recently we took a boat over to Gibbs Cay, a small uninhabited spit of land,
near Grand Turk. The area is popular for its nearby reef and the abundance of
rays swimming in its shallow clear waters. The rays are accustomed to people
and not shy when you’re in the water, but this particular shot I simply took
over the side of the boat.
