Sarah's Back

I’d like to welcome Gay N. Lewis to my blog today. Gay is the author of the fun and entertaining “Sarah” series about a dyslexic angel charged with making love connections on earth. Gay’s here today to talk about the newest in the series, Sarah and a Midnight Cruise to Catalina. So, without further ado…
Would you share a little about Sarah and a Midnight Cruise to Catalina with us?
Sarah must take a cruise with Carolyn Baker to Catalina Island. Sarah’s terrified of water, so this is a concern. An evil angel is also on board, and his assignment is to keep Heaven’s Little Love Angel from uniting Carolyn with the right man. Tomas, the Warrior Angel is also on board, but he is acting as guardian to Carolyn and can’t help Sarah. When Sarah is lured to Cloud Nine by Talen, the wicked angel, Tomas rescues Sarah in a clash on Cloud Nine.
Sarah makes readers laugh out loud.  We follow her through one blooper after another. Even Mother Goodness can’t keep the pint-sized being from disasters caused by her inappropriate choices for human disguises and her love for outrageous footwear.
What was your inspiration for this book?
Like most authors, I’ve always wanted to write. After I retired from the interior design field, I carved my first story—a historical, women’s fiction based on a true incident. Maybe with a rewrite, it will see print one day. The second book, a sequel, went nowhere.  Along the way, I joined Romance Writers of America.  Through this group, I met many diverse authors. Some were gigantic sellers of paranormal literature.  With no knowledge of vampires or werewolves, and no desire to learn about them, I decided to write a fantasy about a dyslexic angel. I prefer uplifting, happy stories, and a well-intentioned goof-ball of a heaven sent spirit hit the spot.  Through Sarah, I can also write nuggets about faith and Christianity.  I thank God He gave me Sarah.  I also thank Him for my enormous sense of humor. I’ve enjoyed using it with Sarah.
What sort of hindrances does Sarah face on this mission?
For the first time ever, she must deal with a wicked spirit by the name of Talen. Talen is sent by his boss from the under-world, and his mission is to keep Carolyn from uniting with the correct man.  Talen tricks Sarah into leaving her charge and tries to destroy her on Cloud Nine. Tomas, the Warrior Angel, comes to Sarah’s rescue.
I enjoyed writing this Sarah book.  I used many of my own experiences from the cruise I took alone.  I hope readers will like it as well.

I’d like to thank Gay for joining us today on my blog and I hope you’ll check out her latest novel along with the rest of the Sarah series.  Keep reading for a short blurb for Sarah and a Midnight Cruise to Catalina Island, and for more on Gay. She can fly but can she swim? Dyslexic and bumbling angel, Sarah, comes to earth to unite Carolyn with a mate. Poopty doopty! She must do it on a ship while Carolyn cruises to Catalina Island. Sarah fears falling into the ocean, and she’s horrified soggy wings will drown her.  On this mission, Talen, an evil spirit is assigned to thwart Heaven’s Little Love Angel’s efforts. Tomas, the Warrior Angel, must protect Sarah. Can Tomas succeed without Sarah goofing up the war between the holy and unholy spirits? Will Talen succeed in spoiling Carolyn’s romance?
