Coterie Defined



According to Dictionary.com, coterie can be a group of people who associate closely, an exclusive group or clique, or a group of prairie dogs occupying a communal burrow. Merriam-Webster online defines it as an intimate and often exclusive group of persons with a unifying common interest or purpose.  But, none of these sources state that the shared interests must be benevolent, good, or established for the betterment of humankind.
