MAY 2026 WRITING AND WANDERING NEWSLETTER
WRITING
Marketing The Beartooth Chronicles is an ongoing activity
along with looking for ways to keep my backlist out there. I’m not sure what’s
next, but I hope you’ll come along for the adventure.
WANDERINGS
So far this spring, following high
school track around the state has been the extent of our wandering, but more
exciting trips and camping are on the horizon.
WHAT I’M READING, NOTABLE NOVELS, and INSPIRING AUTHORS
I’m currently reading, Primordia: In Search of the Lost
World, by Greig Beck. I haven’t read anything by this author before. So
far, I’m enjoying it. It’s kind of a mix between Amazonia by
James Rollins and Indiana Jones.
I’ve been associated with Gail Pallotta for many years. I’ve enjoyed her books, including the first in her Christian Romantic Suspense Discipleship Series, Hidden Danger. I haven’t read the second in the series yet, Dangerous Detour, but I’m confident it will be as compelling as her other novels and have included a bit more about it below. The third in the series, Dangerous Shadows, was just released late 2025. Though a series, each book stands alone.
In Dangerous Detour
four people face a winter storm. Two have lost their way, one has lost his
purpose and one has lost his soul. Moose and Ruthie unknowingly shelter in a
murderer’s hideout, then escape dodging bullets. Eventually, they locate a
house, but who’s there—a friend or foe?
From a 5-star review: The story
is full of suspense, mystery, humor, and a sweet romance. I held my breath as
each incident unfolded. There is an interwoven Christian theme throughout the
story. The main characters learn to trust, overcome their fears, and help one
another.
