JUNE 2025 WRITING AND WANDERING #Newsletter
Welcome to my first newsletter of summer! This is the busiest time of year for me. I’m working on the yard and enjoying being able to finally get outside to recreate. We’ve planted the garden which is something I love tending to and harvesting throughout the summer. On top of the usual spring activities, I’ve released the fourth novel in The Beartooth Chronicles (more on that below). Mostly though, I’m just loving the warm temperatures and watching the landscape transition from winter brown to brilliant shades of green dotted with colorful flowers. I hope everyone has weathered the winter and has fun and exciting plans for the summer.
WRITING
The fourth novel in The Beartooth Chronicles, Evil Under the Mountain, was released on May 19. I am so excited for this one. It’s my favorite in the series so far, and I think it could be read as a stand-alone without much confusion if you don’t want to start with book 1, Refuge from the World. You can download all of the books in the series from your favorite online book seller or for Amazon (click on the link below for all of my books). The publisher has reduced the price on the first three ebooks if you haven’t read the series and want to start at the beginning. All novels in the series are also available in print.
WANDERINGS
We ventured out for a couple quick road trips in May. We visited family, friends, and beautiful and educational places in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks in the spring are a delight. The traffic is light, the animals are out, and the scenery is breathtaking. I also want to put in a plug for the National Museum of Military Vehicles located in Dubois, Wyoming. It is so well done, that even if you aren’t into museums or this topic, it’s still worth a visit.
WHAT I’M READING AND NOTABLE NOVELS
I finished The Corsican Shadow by Dirk Cussler. It was very
entertaining and up to the standard Dirk’s dad, Clive, set for all of the
previous Dirk Pitt novels. I’m now reading Invictus by Ryan Graudin. Next
up is Mothers of a Nation: Jacob’s Wives (Remarkable Women of the Bible)
by Carlene Havel. Even if you don’t normally read this genre, Carlene is an
amazing story teller, so grab your copy from any of the usual online book
sellers.
