FEBRUARY 2025 WRITING AND WANDERING #Newsletter

The days are getting longer which makes me happy. I know there is a lot of winter left, but seeing more light feels like we’re over the hump. I hope your new year has gotten off to a great start and many wonderful things come your way in 2025.

WRITING

In late January, I participated in the Winter Book Fest fundraiser at our local library. It was a great way to connect with readers, and it was a lot of fun. I hope to do more in-person events in the coming year.

2024 saw the release of the first three novels in The Beartooth Chronicles. I’ve been working with my editor on the final edits for the fourth novel, Evil Under the Mountain, and it’s slated for an April 2025 release.

We are already moving forward on the fifth novel in the series, Winter Resurgence. It will be released in late summer or early fall, probably September 2025. If you still haven’t jumped into this series, the first two novels are available to download at a special discounted rate from most major online book retailers or go to Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DMV1QS9Q/

WANDERINGS

We’ve stuck fairly close to home in January except for short jaunts into Montana which is beautiful this time of year, but the roads are not always the best. I was hoping to test my wings as a snow-birder but for now, we’re just shoveling snow, trying to stay warm, and saying “maybe next year.”

WHAT I’M READING AND NOTABLE NOVELS

I finished Lucky in Love by Carlene Havel. I really enjoyed this story. It had a wonderful cast of characters, a lot of twists and turns, and I appreciated that the characters were honest with each other until the end when they were forced to deal with their feelings for each other. I like when a love story can develop without relying on deception as a major plot point. It was the perfect book to start out the new year.

I’ve also finish Veronica Rossi’s novels, Under the Never Sky and Through the Ever Night. I’m currently reading the last novel in the trilogy, Into the Still Blue. I always enjoy a good dystopian story, and I haven’t been disappointed.

ADDITIONAL INFO: You can find all of my books on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Kim-McMahill/e/B007IK0EJW/ and follow my Amazon author page for notifications on new releases. Most of my books are also available through the other major online book sellers.

Thank you for sharing in my fictional and real-life adventures. Best wishes for a happy Valentine’s Day!
