#DECEMBER 2023 #Newsletter – HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Winter is in full swing. The days are short, the temperatures are chilly, and we’ve already seen plenty of snow. I always look forward to the winter solstice, which falls on December 21 this year. It will be the shortest day of the year, but after that, the amount of daylight increases ever so slightly from there on out. It kind of feels like we’re over the hump on the solstice even though it is technically the first day of winter.
The holiday season has not started out well, but I anticipate the month ending on a very happy note. I’ve always been relieved once we’re into the new year and the holidays are behind me, but I try to stay upbeat for those who are all in when it comes to the festivities. Whether your celebrations are tepid or over the top, I hope you’re finding joy in the holiday season.
WRITING NOTES AND NEWS
I received the final round of edits from
my editor for, A Refuge from the World (The Beartooth Chronicles, Book 1).
It’s looking like we’ll have a February 2024 release. The plan at the moment is
for the next three novels in the series to be released every four to five
months thereafter. So, if you love the first book, you won’t have to wait long
for the second.
While working on edits for the first
four novels in my new dystopian-adventure series, I’ve finished the fifth novel
in the Beartooth Chronicles. I continue to write and release Kindle Vella
episodes (Links below). I’m also trying to grow my readers and followers. If
you aren’t already, I would appreciate any new followers to any of my social
media platforms below. Thanks in advance.
WHAT I’M READING
I finished Screamcatcher: Web World
by Christy J. Breedlove and Chris H. Stevenson, published by Fire & Ice Young
Adult & New Adult Books, who is also the publisher of my upcoming series,
The Beartooth Chronicles. There was lots of action and I enjoyed the story.
I’ve also finished Red Rising
by Pierce Brown. It’s an off-planet dystopian novel. It was pretty entertaining,
so I’ll probably check out the next in the series.
Now, I’m into, End of the Beginning,
by Judy Baker. I’ve read quite a few of her novels, and she never disappoints.
