JANUARY 2022 NEWSLETTER - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome to the first newsletter of 2022. I hope your holidays were joyous, and you’re ready to dive headfirst into the new year. As is often the custom, I’ll take this opportunity to reflect on the highlights of 2021 before jumping into 2022.

REFLECTIONS ON 2021

I wouldn’t necessarily say that we saw a complete return to normal in 2021, but I hope most of us experienced some movement in that direction. My husband and I took our first international trip in a very long time. We selected the location carefully, considered if we were up for the new travel protocols, and in the end, we had an amazing trip to Iceland.

My fourth novel in the Risky Research Series, A Measure of Madness, came out in April 2021 (more about the series under, WRITING NOTES AND NEWS, below). It was selected at a N.N. And, on the domestic front, we had an epic garden this year. We ate all we could, gave away produce to friends, family and neighbors, and froze and dehydrated what we could. Although we enjoyed it a great deal, we plan to scale it back in 2022. But our biggest accomplishment of the year had to be painting the outside of the house. It was quite the project, especially the trim on the peaks and dormers, and we are glad that one is behind us.

NEW IN 2022

In 2022 the National Park Service will have five entrance fee-free days where all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone. WRITING NOTES AND NEWS

I’ve been writing for about twenty-five years. During that time, I’ve published articles for various publications, eleven novels (some are no longer in print), and two short stories (more under freebies). My most recent fiction project is the Risky Research Series. Each novel in the series (four to date) revolves around some aspect of the nutrition, diet, and pharmaceutical industries, those who will do anything to profit from it, and the FBI Agents dedicated to stopping them.
