National Park #Free Entrance Day
Bandelier National Monument |
Saturday, September 28, 2019 is the next to
last entrance-fee-free-day in 2019 for our National Parks in recognition of
National Public Lands Day, which was established
in 1994 and held annually on the fourth Saturday in September. National Public
Lands Day is the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort, and its purpose
is to celebrate the connection between people and green space in their
community, inspire environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space
for education, recreation, and general health. So, mark your calendar and get
out and visit your parks and volunteer. The last entrance-fee-free day is Veterans Day, Monday, November 11.
