The 50th State
On August 12, 1898, the
U.S. annexed Hawaii and on August 21, 1959 Hawaii became the 50th
state. Though statehood was not necessarily welcomed by most of the local
population, I can’t imagine a United States without this magnificent place.
I grew up in Wyoming, which is where I developed my sense of adventure and love of the outdoors. Since leaving Wyoming I have enjoyed many opportunities to see the world, and I've lived amid some of America’s most stunning landscapes. I started out writing non-fiction, but my passion for exotic world travel, outrageous adventures, and happily-ever-after endings soon drew me into a world of romantic suspense.
