BLOOMING LOVE SPRING BLOG HOP
Welcome to the Blooming Love Spring
Blog Hop. I hope you enjoy all the different perspectives on love, find
exciting new books, learn about new authors, and of course, take advantage of
all the giveaways.
Sometimes love hits hard and
fast. Other times love sneaks up and takes hold of your heart before you
realize what’s happening, much the same way a bud on a flower’s stem slowly
opens to reveal a beautiful spring blossom.
I write romantic adventures
and suspense, and they generally follow the blooming love rather than the
exploding romance formula (there are plenty of other explosions in my stories). As the hero and heroine struggle to survive
whatever predicament they find themselves in, they inevitable come to rely on
each other and reassess how they view themselves and their relationships. Even in real life, when people face a
challenging or terrifying situation together the experience has the potential
to tear them apart or bring them together by forging an unbreakable bond
through shared sacrifice.
My most recent novel, Big
Horn Storm, is a contemporary
western romantic adventure set in rugged mountain country. The story combines a
too-close-to-home military crisis, a traumatic accident, a terrifying bear
encounter, hold-your-breath horseback escapes and an attempt to reconcile the
past in an action-packed thriller. To
survive an aggressive invasion by ruthless foreign soldiers, the sheepherder’s
granddaughter must test her horse’s strength and her own will to do whatever it
takes to stay alive and protect those she loves, including the rugged rancher
who has always held her heart.
As dramatic as that sounds, how
far would you go for love, especially if you didn’t understand your emotions
completely or know if your feelings will be reciprocated? In Desperate
Dreams, America has become a safe, orderly,
predictable place for the majority of the citizenship, but to a few, like Nyla
and Ethan, it has become a prison. Inseparable since childhood, but now faced
with being torn apart, they are determined to change the course of their
future. As Nyla struggles to understand her deepening feelings for Ethan, they
embark on a desperate journey for freedom through the inhospitable Big Bend
region of Texas. But, is the cost of freedom and forbidden love too high?
In some adventures the
situation is just too dangerous for the hero and heroines to recognize the
signs of falling in love or access the costs. While fighting for their lives,
love is the last thing on their mind, and surviving a treacherous experience
will inevitably change the most well-defined priorities. In Marked
in Mexico an idyllic Caribbean vacation turns deadly when hostages are
taken at one of Mexico’s most popular Mayan ruins. The kidnappers believe the
abduction will be a simple way to negotiate the release of a colleague from a
Texas prison, but matters become complicated and the stakes much higher when
they realize one of their hostages is the daughter of a powerful U.S. Senator
and another is an ex-Army Ranger who has no intention of playing by the rules.
While trying to stay alive in the unforgiving jungle will they forge a bond to
last a lifetime or push the terrifying memories, and each other far away?
