Writing Contests


Writing contests are a great way to showcase your work and each year Writer’s Digest hosts many great competitions. For their big annual contest, the grand prize winner is featured in the upcoming December issue of the magazine, along with the names of the winners in each category.  There is a lot of high-quality competition, but don’t be deterred. I never won, but in the four years I submitted - 1997, 1998, 2000, and 2002 - I received honorable mentions in the Feature Article Category.
