I’ve belonged to Wyoming Writers, Inc. and Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers for many years. Being part of these writing communities has been a rewarding experience. My fellow members have given me encouragement, inspiration and countless ideas for publishing and marketing. There are hundreds of organizations out there for writers - many geographic and many genre specific such as Romance Writers of America. I would like to recognize those communities supporting writers and I’m interested to hear from others which organizations they've found to be enlightening, enjoyable and helpful.

Jack seldom allowed sleep to completely claim him. He teetered on the edge between consciousness and sleep, listening to the sounds of the nighttime jungle. The swoosh of a raptor’s wings diving for prey, the chorus of insects searching for a mate and the sounds of the leaves rustling in the breeze were familiar, but they weren’t comforting. From his experience, the chaos of the living jungle only served to mask the sounds of certain death.

My next novel, Desperate Dreams , will be published by Inspired Romance Novels. More details to come soon.
